Found a 2016 used 400 EV with 41 hours at a dealer that was taken as trade
in. Price negotiated is 8699.00 plus tax and title and 1 year warranty. Anything I need to check out other than a test drive for noise? Thanks.

I have a 2010 ranger ev and when i plug the charger in the light on the dash doesn't light up. I looked at the delta-q charger and all 4 of the lights on the side of the charger are blinking. the top one 1/2 battery yellow, the next one full battery dim green, the next one the charging symbol yellow, and the bottom one is flashing repeatedly red. I know I am suppose to see how many times it flashes to troubleshoot, but mine is continually flashing. I replaced my batteries about 2 months ago. Any help would be appreciated.

I am considering buying a 2016 Polaris Ranger EV Li-Ion.
Everyone says to avoid the first year of new model. My reasoning is that the Polaris EV has been around for 6 years. The only thing that is new is the Li Ion, and that technology is not new, just its application to the Polaris Ranger.
Should I go for it, or wait?

I have a winch ordered and while searching all the threads relating to winch installations on EV's, noticed everyone has been adding two auxiliary batteries forward with a charger to power their winches. Is there a reason why a 48v to 12v voltage transformer could not be used with the existing battery banks?

We have lots of feral hogs here. I wanted a simple, easy to get to, mount for my Ruger Ranch Rifle (pig rifle). I finally came up with the attached. Single Kolpin rifle mount with the adjuster cut off, screwed to the center of the panel with a SS 1/4" sheet metal screw. Rock solid! :D

New to the group and never owned an EV before. Have an opportunity to purchase new 2010 EV for 7k. Dealer has purchased new batteries. I have made up my mind to buy an EV just not sure about this deal. Any guidance is appreciated!!

Wanted to share some things about my Viper Elite winch install in case it may benefit others with this size frame. I went with a single 31m sized Optima marine deep cycle/starting battery that I already had on hand.
I found a 14 "x 14" 1/4" steel plate at Lowes that I drilled the bolt pattern in, put under the winch mount, bolted to frame that made a heavy duty battery tray for this big heavy battery. Used two SS all thread rods, wing nuts, and a SS strap for the hold down. It ended up A 1/4" shy and above the front gear box with plenty of clearance from the battery charger mount.
The directions said to splice into a wire that is only hot when the key is on. Found the top terminal on the three stud accessory bar hot when keyed but would not power up the winch. Have it wired directly to the battery for now. What have others found to use?

I know its taboo to connect your winch to the EV batteries but.... I have a 24 V warn winch that is connected to two of the EV batteries that are bridged together giving 24 Volts. This winch is hardly ever used. It is also disconnected via a isolated switch so it is inoperable unless this hidden switch is turned on. My question is "am I asking for troubles that I don't know or understand?" I understand that uneven draw down thus uneven charging is one of the concerns of using the EV batteries but seeing that this winch is an emergency use only, am I messing up just having it there?

Is adjusting the suspension as simple as turning the collar below the coil spring? I have the tool that came in the tool set and attempted to rotate that stepped collar but was unsuccessful. Any tips?

Frequent start failures that occur without reason. Malfunction wrench comes on before going from N to D or R. Center 20 amp OK. Malfunction indicator code blinking 4 times. Charge good. No clicking in back now. Will start at random, sometimes same day, sometimes after setting a couple of days. Any ideals?

Hello, New Polaris EV owner here, having just acquired a 2010/2011 Ranger EV that does not drive. The vehicle had 155 hours when it got water logged 2 owners back, which was the death of the machine, & apparently has not been driven since. Batteries were replaced apparently, they are all showing about 14.4 volts each now.
Here are the symtoms: It powers up, but moves (fwd or rev) at a turtles pace if one just barely presses the accelerator pedal. Power kicks out (main contactor trips off) at the moment the pedal is pushed furthur down, & the red wrench comes up on the dash. The green light on the sevcon controller flashes 11 times. I plan to disconnect & clean all the cable connections from the batteries/controller/contactors, & motor. I understand something with the motors goes bad with water exposure, just wondering if the anyone out there has had similar symptoms & can advise the best advice on what to look for. In particular with the motor because that's probably where I will start disassembly, if all the cable connection checking doesn't help. Thanks.

I have a 2010 EV that I bought last year..a few months ago I put all new batteries and cables in. When i have it at full charge the indicator will drop to 3/4 or 1/2 after just a mile or so..doesn't seem to be holding a charge properly or getting fully charged. I've been following the forums..looking for help..could it be the stock charger not adequate, algorythyms, etc...

Ok so now we have completed substantial tire and wheel size testing so I can provide you a honest real life review of our findings. Below are what we have tested.
1 Factory Tires
2 Polaris Sixr wheels with 26x11x14 and 26x9x14 Sadona Ripsaw tires
3 12" wheels with 26x10x12 Ripsaws at all 4 corners
4 Factory wheels + 25x8x12 and 25x10x12 Kenda Bounty Hunter ST
5 Factory wheels + Carlisle 26x9x12, 26x11x12 ACT HD tires
1 is the smoothest longest distance but sucks for most off-road situations. 2 is the best overall. Great steering, feel, grip and awesome side hill stability. Even range was not effected as much as I expected. My first choice by far. #3 EV still went well but steering feel is definitely worse and cart doesn't seem stabile on hills. Feels a bit heavier also. 4 is a ok setup. Probably longer range but honestly not enough that I could tell. Still a little unstable and traction is reduced from Ripsaws. 5 has the best traction but at a cost of a lot of vibration. Side hill stability is a lot less than #2 and only slightly better performance in mud. Overall #2 is my choice by far. Great wheel and tire package for the EV. Hope this helps.

Anyone had this issue? If so what is it? Never noticed it before but now one of our carts is doing it? Plug it in and after a couple minutes it starts. Its coming from the charger itself.

Has any ever had to replace solenoid one of these. How can I check it? I have the three blinking green lights but no clicking noise. problem has been getting worse. just replaced one battery because bolt had broken off. I also cleaned any questionable looking terminals. I read in one forum that turning key on and off 3 times does some kind of reset. That worked for me a couple of days ago, but I no longer hear clicking sound when turning key on.

Does anyone know the 'part' Polaris says they cannot get to fill orders of the 2016 Lithium Ion Ranger? I ordered mine in August, and it has been delayed 4 times, with the latest Delivery December 20th. I told them cancel the order, I cant bow hunt in January. I would like delivery in April, maybe they will have the Li-On figured out by then.
