So I recently bought a plow for my Ev, I already have a winch on it running off of a 12 volt Motorcycle battery. I know I need to upgrade the battery system to with stand the plow use.
I've found online that there are 48 volt 4500lb winches available for our machines for $200.
Now why wouldn't it make more sense to upgrade my winch to 48 volt and use the power from the battery pack to power the winch rather than retro fit to two small 12 volts that would need charging along with the drive pack?
Looking for any opinion or experience you all might have.
